1. New Windows Product Builds

   New builds of three key TestWorks products were put up on the WebSite over
   the Christmas/New Years break:

      o  TCAT/C-C++ Ver. 2.1 for VC 5.n (30 Dec 99 Build).
         TCAT/C-C++ Ver. 2.1 for VC 6.n (30 Dec 99 Build).

         The new TCAT/C-C++ features improved performance and reliability,
         updates to make the product compatible with the lastest versions of
         VC 5.n and 6.n, and repair of a number of minor internal problems.

         Users of prior versions of TCAT/C-C++ will find that their existing
         license keys will work with the new build.

         Download the latest version of TCAT/C-C++ at:
            <http://www.soft.com/Products/Download/down.tcatC21.html>

      o  TCAT/Java Ver. 1.2 for Java Ver. 1.2 (30 Dec 99 Build).

         This built of TCAT/Java supports the full Java 1.2 (Java 2) language
         including the Swing libraries. This version is fully compatible with
         current versions of JDK 1.2.

         The worked example supplied with the product has been changed to
         SwingSet to illustrate the power of the instrumenter/coverage
         analyzer. TCAT/Java measures true branch coverage with very good
         runtime efficiency. (The previous example of TicTacToe has been
         deleted because as an applet it could not run with the enhanced
         security of JDK 1.2.)

         Users of prior versions of TCAT/Java will find that their existing
         license keys will work with the new build.

         Download the latest version of TCAT/Java at:
            <http://www.soft.com/Products/Download/down.tcatJ12.html>

      o  CAPBAK/Web Ver. 1.5, (30 Dec 99 Build).

         This build features enhanced performance, a new User Preferences area
         that interacts with the registry, and new Cache Management that lets
         you better control the content of the cache (this is important for
         accurate timings). A feature description of CAPBAK/Web is given
         below.

         Users of prior versions of CAPBAK/Web will find that their existing
         license keys will work with the new build.

         Download the latest version of CAPBAK/Web at:
            <http://www.soft.com/Products/Download/down.capbakweb.html>

   Please contact  for additional details.

3. Password Access for TestWorks Users Area

   Our WebSite now has a TestWorks Users area that has restricted access.
   Access to this area is now controlled by password.

   The material in this TestWorks Users' area consists of:

      o A complete archive of copies of our monthly SIL Memo. If you missed
         a prior issue this is the place to find it.

      o The archive of miscellaneous technical support questions and answers.
         This is a structured collection of previously sent questions and
         answers dealing with all kinds of applications issues with TestWorks.

      o The TestWorks "Help and Troubleshooting" area. This has prepared
         responses to many of the technical questions involved in TestWorks
         operation and use.

      o Miscellaneous technical material relating to TestWorks operation and
         use.

   The TestWorks Users restricted area is reached from this URL:

   correct there's nothing to be done; you'll continue to receive this memo by
   Email.

   The TPOC is the main person in charge of receiving information about all
   TestWorks products at your installation. This person might be your
   system-admin or the TPOC might best be the test lead. There can be several
   TPOC's for a TestWorks installation.
